I have never created a plain text file. Always SQL or MSAccess. I have a requirement to create a script file to drive an invoicing system. The script file has to be a .txt file and no quotes are allowed. I have automated the creation of the script by setting the various lines of an array depending on criteria entered. I use a simple Write # when looping through the array. However when I view the text, each line has been surrounded by quotes. I can remove the quotes with NotePad, however this function is supposed to be automated and the user should not have to clean up the quotes with NotePad. This seems ridiculously simple, there must be a way around this. OR can I invoke NotePad's replace functionality automatically in the background?
Thanks, Tom
