GridBoundColumns: desing time style settings disregarded

Question

I create a GridBoundColumns collection for a GridDataBoundGrid object and see that almost any design time column property setting except for HeaderText and MappingName get disregarded. That is, not remembered even at design time.

I tried to reproduce this using the latest public release, 1.6.1. Attached is alittle project that adds a couple of GridBoundColumns and sets the backcolor and font for the columns from the designer without a problem.

Can you attached a little sample of this problem using the Northwind database so we can look into what is going on.
