Can GridGroupingControl be a "virtual grid" ?

I am working on a project that is using GridGroupingControl. There is a potential that it will be used to view a large data source object ( a DataSet containing 2 related DataTables). There may be hundreds or even thousands of rows in the tables. Can the GridGroupingControl be made a "virtual grid" to make it more efficient?
