Text Extraction

Hi,

I'm having a hard time understanding your PDF object model.

What I want to do, is to be able to loop through all objects of all pages and extract all text found no matter the order.

What would be the best course of action ?

Kinds regards,

Miky

Hi Miky,

Thank you for your interest in Essential PDF.

Essential PDF is a .Net library for creating and modifying an existing PDF document. However, Currently we do not have support for text extraction. However we do have plans of implementing this feature in future. We have already logged a feature request regarding this feature with development team.
You can track the status of this feature from the following url.
http://www.syncfusion.com/support/features/pdf/Default.aspx?ToDo=view&questId=257

Please let me know if you have any other queries.

Regards,
Dhivya.

Okay, but How can you modify a document if you don't have access to it's content?

You can only add to it ?

Hi Miky,

Sorry for the confusion. I said modification as we can add some text on the existing document and add or remove or rotate pages of the existing documents.
We do have access to an existing document, but we can't extract the text from it.

Can you please take a look in to the following url which has the latest features that are being supported by Essential PDF.

Following are some links for samples and documentation that may help you.
