how to disable edit mode?

Hi,
I dont want user to allow editing so I have made EnableEdit false and also made readonly griddataboundgrid in 4.2 version.
Now user can't edit , but it shows the edit cursor. I just want it to be selected as a cell.
It is now showing like editable mode, and so it won't allow me to handle double click event on the particular cell.
Will you please provide me the solution.

Hi Sandeep,

A cell can be prevented from getting in to the edit mode by setting the CellType to Static or by handling the CurrentCellStartEditing event and setting the e.Cancel to true.

Mainly, On left button click I want to bind the cell to correct data type, allow the user to edit the cell. After editing the cell, I want to show the drawing on the cell in the background. This has become hard to do.

I cannot disable a selection on a cell.
