Syncfusion & Rational Robot or Compuware Testpartner

The application that we are testing uses Syncfusion grid Version : 3.301.0.0 Neither Rational Robot (ver 2003.06) nor Compuware Testpartner (ver 9.3) recognize the objects in the grid. Please let us know if it''s possible to automate an application which uses Syncfusion grids?

Hi Rashmi, With the 4.2 release, we have added support for Mercury QTP. You can automate testing of the applications that uses Syncfusion Grid and Tools using Mercury. Currently we do not support testing of our components with Rational Robot / Compuware. Thanks, Jay

Thanks Jay. Do you know if Syncfusion is coming up with a version of the grid that will support Rational Robot &/or Compuware Testpartner? Hi Jay,

do you have any new information regarding the question whether Syncfusion has planned to support TestPartner from Compuware?

Thanks,

Hi Renate,
If you are intersted in Rational Robot, please open a DTrac incident. We will share details of our partner who provides proxy libraries to enable testing of Syncfusion controls with Rational Robot.

We are also in touch with the same partner to see if they can add support for TestPartner. I will keep you updated if we have any further information.

Thanks,
Jay

What steps are required in order to get QTP to recognize the Syncfusion Grid? Is an additional Add-In required? I'm using the downloaded trial version of QTP in order to evaluate this. Thanks.

Hi Louis,

As a basic requirement, you will need .Net addin to be installed. The Essential TestStudio library is a collection of custom servers to support recognization of our controls in the QTP environment. Please take a look here to know the supported controls and open a direct trac incident, we will share the test studio install.

Please do mention the version required in the product version, the Essential Studio version that the application uses and choose Essential TestStudio(QTP) product when creating a new incident.

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion products.

Warm regards,
Stanley

The application that we are testing uses Syncfusion grid Version : 3.301.0.0. Which automation tool is the best to automate my application?

Currently we have licenses for Rational Robot and Compuware QA Partner. Does any of these softwares support Syncfusion?
