XPToolBar and ALT-Key

I am using a MDI application with a XPToolBar as menu. When no MDI child window is opened I can access the menu (of the MDI container form) with the ALT+... key. But when a MDI child window is opened, then it is not possible to access the menu with ALT+... Please, can you help me!
