Calculate Sample on Column Grid

Hi,

From the Calculate samples and Grid samples, I noticed that the samples refer mostly to cell computation.

Is there a sample for column computation, I mean, like a database record, to place formula based on the column name and compute the result to the column with the formula attached to that column and recalculation to that column (manual or auto).
To place formula on cells, always comsume large memory space and cause program to slow down considerably.
