Syncfusion v4.1 VS v2.1.0.9

Hello, We''re currently using Syncfusion v2.1.0.9, and we have many apps written using this version. We''re thinking about migrating to version 4.1, but first we''d like to know what are the repercussions of doing so. - Does it requier a complete rewritting of the code? - Does it requier to buy new liscenses? Thanks

Hi Fred, No, upgrading to v4.1 will not require a complete rewrite of your code. In fact, in most circumstances, updating the references to the v4.1 assemblies, running our licensing enabler tool, then rebuilding your solution should work without any problems. You may also have to run our ConvertResx tool. Of course, as with any upgrade, you will need to test your application to make sure a bug fix or new feature we added hasn''t changed your application''s behavior. v4.1 does not require a purchasing a new license. As long as you''ve maintained your subscription the upgrade will be free and you can get a key at http://www.syncfusion.com/Support/DirectTrac/user/downloads.aspx. However, if your subscription has expired you need to purchase an upgrade to work with v4.1. If the latter is the case, you can still try Beta 3 with a 30-day evaluation license at http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/evaluation.aspx?Version=4.1.0.10. If you have any further subscription related questions, our Sales team will be happy to help you. To ask them a question, you can use either the Contact Sales form at http://www.syncfusion.com/Sales/contactsales.aspx or the Live Chat feature available from any of our website sections (except Support). Regards, Gregory Austin Syncfusion Inc.
