Negative Local Coordinates

I have some code that uses negative local coordinates for some of the child shapes within a symbol. A subsequent adjustment to the symbol''s bounds appropriately regenerates the world coordinates for the shapes and everything looks OK in the debugger, but the symbol doesn''t render at all in my diagram. This code worked properly under SF 2.0.5.1, but fails now under 3.3.0.1. Has anyone had a similar problem or is there anyone out there who can offer me some guidance?
