Welcome again to the Essential Grid for ASP.NET (WebGrid) Forum.
The WebGrid is currently in beta and this is the best time for feedback regarding features, bugs, comments, compliments, etc. So, please keep it coming.

Our goal in implementing the WebGrid is to make it very similar to "Essential Grouping Grid for Windows Forms" - both with respect to the API and the behavior and functionality. It''s obviously not a 100% port, but we have tried hard to make it as close as possible. Just like the Windows Forms version, it also uses our Grouping Engine in the background to group the data.
Besides the usual suspects like grouping, sorting, paging, filters, summaries, unbound columns, etc., there are some pretty advanced features available already - hierarchies, advanced cell types (masked edit, datetime, numeric up down, currency), form edit mode, etc.
The WebGrid is also tested to work with IE, Netscape and Mozilla based browsers.
