Jeff,
You could just delete these license files (or remove the syncfusion entries from the files). They are not required as we do not do any runtime license checks.

This doesn't work for me - neither deleting the file or deleting the content and other suggestions??

You need to make sure that you remove the file from your project (select "Exlude From Project" from the Solution Explorer) - deleting the file manually from the disk will not remove the project dependency.
This should take care of it.
