Hi Steve,
I just heard back from the development team that the workbook that you are trying to open is in 5.0/95 format. Currently ExcelRW does not have support for opening Excel95 spreadsheets, so please open the file in MS Excel and save it in Excel 97 format and then try opening using ExcelRW.
