Unless I am overlooking something, I do not think there is a reason you cannot do this, but using FormulaCells in a GridDataBoundGrid requires that you maintain data storage for the FormulaTag objects. You would handle model.QueryCellInfo and model.SaveCellInfo to maintain this information. This is discussed in this KB. http://64.78.18.34/Support/article.aspx?id=10439
