We will have to implement some spell checking in our product. We''d envisage it being able to search any strings within labels associated with either Symbols or Links.
Do you recommend any in particular or will you be considering this functionality in the future?

You could use NetSpell that is available at:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/netspell/
Implementing spell check in a Diagram application depends on your needs. In this case you will have to get the check the spelling of each of the labels.
