ComboBoxAdv SelectedValueChanged Event not Firing

When a user pulls down the list box using the mouse or F4 key and then types in an entry in a ComboBoxAdv control, the entry appears in the textbox and is highlighted in the pulldown. But when the user then tab keys out of the combobox focus, the SelectedValueChanged event does not fire. It seems that it should.
