Auto scaling column chart leaves off tallest column value label

If I have a column chart with value labels above the bars and I use automatic axis scaling, it picks a Y axis range that doesn''t allow room for the label on the tallest column. That label is omitted.

I like the convenience of the automatic scaling, but this makes it less useful. Can you please fix it?
