Find and Replace

Hi,

I’m using the JS Rich Text Editor and looking for a way to do Find and Replace (Search and Replace).  Is this possible?

Hi Grant Symon,

Currently, the RichTextEditor component does not have support for Find and Replace. However, we have considered this requirement as a feature request. Now you can track the status of the feature in the below feedback link.

Feedback: https://www.syncfusion.com/feedback/5203/find-and-replace-support-for-content-of-rich-text-editor

The above feature will be implemented in any one of the future volume releases. Generally, we will plan the feature implementation based on the customer request count, feature rank, and wish list plan. You can upvote the feature request feedback so that it gets support and will be ranked higher for implementation.

Regards,

Vinitha

Hi Vinitha,

thank you for the reply.

I've added a comment to the Feedback, but just to add here, that I'm so surprised.  It never occurred to me that it wouldn't be included.  I can work-around this is my solution, but only because I'm using the RTE inside FileMaker, which is a powerful database, so I can use it to create a quasi Find/Replace, but it's far from ideal.  I guess I'll have to reflect on continuing with the Syncfusion RTE at this point.  Ho hum.  🙁
