LaTex Symbols not displayed correctly in PDF

Hello,

In the attached program is a word document and a pdf output from the program. As you can see in the two files, some of the symbols are not handled properly when the file is converted to PDF. Specifically, in the section called "Strength Reduction Factors" the phi symbol is displayed as a bold E in the PDF. Also, in the  "Section Classification" section, there is a large space between the text and the lambda symbol. Can this be resolved?

Thanks

Natalie, since we released our 2024 Volume 1 Main release a few days ago, we do not have a Weekly NuGet release this week. The fix will be included in our upcoming Weekly NuGet release, which will be available by next week.

Weekly NuGet

Phi symbol in Math equation is not preserved properly.

As promised earlier, we have included the fix for the reported bug with “Phi symbol in Math equation is not preserved properly while converting a Word document to PDF” in our latest weekly NuGet release (v25.1.37).

Root cause of the issue:
In the provided document, Mathematical Italic Phi Symbol (𝜑) is inserted in the Math equation. During the Word to PDF conversion process, the Phi Symbol (𝜑) character is internally modified to the specific style with the character(𝜑)  based on the character value. However, during this process, the incorrect character “E” is being generated. This issue is causing problems in the Word to PDF conversion.

Unwanted spaces preserved in Math equation while converting a Word document to PDF.

As promised earlier, we have included the fix for the reported bug with “Unwanted spaces preserved in Math equation while converting a Word document to PDF” in our latest weekly NuGet release (v25.1.37).

Root cause of the issue:
During the Word to PDF conversion process, we internally added additional spaces when two spaces are followed by a comma ',' to achieve Microsoft Word's behavior. In the Word document, only one space character is intended to be placed after the comma. However, we improperly added extra spaces after the comma character. This issue is causing spacing problems in the Word to PDF conversion.
