Exported pdf does not show header and contains broken table on the last page

Hi, 

When trying to export Grids containing hierarchical data, we are running into some problems. The exported pdf is not showing header on the last page. In addition, the child grid's table overlaps with the main table in the exported file (sample image attached below).

To reproduce the aforementioned behavior, expand the last row and export the grid as pdf.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to resolve this issue.

We have already confirmed that the reported behavior is an issue from our side and logged it as “Exported Pdf shows overlapping text”. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product. At Syncfusion, we are committed to fixing all validated defects (subject to technical feasibility and Product Development Life Cycle ) and will include the defect fix in our upcoming patch release which will be rolled out on “February 28, 2024”.

Query 2: Column Header to be repeated on every page for PDF export

Regarding the column header to be repeated on every page upon in pdf exporting the grid, we have already documented this functionality. The documentation link has been attached below.

The solution to the problem of overlapping in the exported Grid pdf file will be included on April 24th, 2024, patch release. Until then we appreciate your patience and understanding.

We are glad to announce that, we have included the fix for the issue “Exported Pdf shows overlapping text” in our 25.1.41 release. So please upgrade to our latest version of the Syncfusion package to resolve the reported issue.

Rootcause : 

During pagination, the y-position value of the parent grid bounds is updated as NaN, due to this nested grid with more columns in the child grid is not preserved as expected.

Solution :

Fixed by child grid cells are merged with respect to span and added a condition if rowbreak height is not null or undefined.
