Docking panels are not drawned from location that is set, also Exception occured

Hi  Bagavathi Perumal Apranandham

I am sorry that I name you for this question. Reason is that this is continue of my previous thread

Problem with DockingManager - Replace content of the docking panels | WinForms Forums | Syncfusion

for which you created database.

I continued working on application and have some new questions.

  1. I am using vb.net
  2. I formed main screen
  3. I added Docking manager with panels. Everything works fine
  4. Every panel has TreeNavigator with TreeMenuItems.
  5. I add Tags to TreeMenuItems and I know how to read what item is clicked
  6. When I click on some menuTreeItems I wanted to open new panel (I called it in code "panel10") that is tabbed (using control TabbedMDIManager for add tabs) and add some created form to that panel. For example I choose menuTreeItem called "Nalozi za knjiženje" (On "Glavni meni" choose button "Finansije" and then menuTreeItem called "Nalozi za knjiženje").
  7. I used your examples for adding code to open "panel10" as tabbed panel. I wanted panel to fit whole empty space on main form (left - from end of other panels in dockingmanager, right - beginning od right edge of main form, bottom - to beggining of the StatusBarAdv )
  8. Image_8187_1697210194676
  9. First I noticed that panel on the left side is under panels of dockingmanager. I tried to change location but with no result. Also I think that right edge of panel is under the right edge of main form.
    1. Image_7777_1697210232792
    2. Image_4201_1697210261618
  10. When I add form "KF_Nalozi" to "panel10" it doesn't fit as I expected.
    1. "Panel1" that I add in this form is acting strange. All buttons is missing, gridpanel is resized with no obvious reason.
    2. Image_3316_1697210344371
    3. Image_9784_1697210446054
  11. When I try to close main form (on "X" mark) program send exception.
  12. I recorded all of this and added in zip file.
  13. Please can you help me to make this as I wanted (After choosing menuTreeItem open new panel as tabbed panel maximized within empty space, add form to this new panel, resized to fit panel)
  14. If there is other solution be free to suggest. Also can you tell me what is the best way to have controls  within form resized as form is resizing.
Thank you very match in advance. Once again sorry if my questions is at the low level. For me they are crucial.

Best wishes

Sabian

Hi Sabian Sirius,

Query2: Form is acting strange. All buttons are missing and gridpanel is resized.

After further analysis, we found that the reason behind the button missing issue on the panel is the result of setting the AnchorStyle value as “none” for the button, which is used to position it in a fixed location. If the AnchorStyle setting is removed, the button missing issue will be resolved.  Please refer to the modified sample and video for your reference.

Hi Sabian Sirius,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

There is a limitation in DockingManager that the MDIContainer style is not applicable for the DockingClientPanel. When adding Document as child of DockingManager, we are internally enabling MDIContainer to place the Document window.  So, we cannot use both DockingClientPanel and Document window in same view.  Please refer the below UG link for your reference.

UG link: https://help.syncfusion.com/windowsforms/docking-manager/docking-client-panel

You can achieve your requirement without utilizing the DockingClientPanel. Please refer to the attached sample for your reference.
