Forms designer not showing property grid

I'm following this tutorial  Getting Started with Windows Forms Ribbon control | Syncfusion

Using VS 2022 Community Edition. Contrary to the tutorial, I do not see any designer pop-up property grids to enter values into controls for things like tabs. I can only add them via code. Is this a known issue?

Hi Aaron LeMasters,

We have analyzed your requirement, and we suspect that you are trying with Smart tag support. Currently does not got smart tag in our latest version for RibbonControl in .net 5.0". As this feature is not available in our product, we have already added it to our feature request list, but we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. The status of implementation can be tracked through our Features Management System.

If you have any more specification/suggestions to the feature request, you can add it as a comment in the portal and cast your vote to make it count.

Thanks for the information. I'm surprised this is not a top-priority feature.

Hi Aaron LeMasters,

The smart tag and Designer Functionality is working properly in .net framework projects.

As a workaround, you can utilize the NET framework to design your project and then use it in a.NET core projectWe have prepared a demo for your requirement with .NET Framework 4.8, then including the design in .NET 6 core project. Please refer to the attached demo for your reference.
