Format rate in cell

The format of this cell is currently set to 0.0%, but why is it that when I enter 1, the result becomes 100%? And when I enter 100%, the result becomes the string '100%'. How can I input 100% in a way that the displayed result remains as the rate 100%?

We have confirmed the issue as " Value converts to string when entered with % in custom format applied cell " and logged a bug report and it will be available in our Essential Studio Volume 3 release. You can track the status of the issue via the feedback link below.
