Template column is not visualized correctly
Hello
I am using the TreeGrid component at my project and now that I have updated the Syncfusion nuget to version
22.2.5 I have a problem with the template columns.
I am posting my project to show you the problem.
If you check it you will see that at the Code column no value is visualised at the column template.
If I remove the value from the Field property of the column the template is visualized correctly.
The problem is that I have to set a value at the Field property of the column so that I can export the excel file.
The previous version that I was using was 21.2.10 and it worked fine.
So what can I do to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance!

We are able to replicate the issue at our end. On further validation, this issue is a breaking issue from our end. We have considered the reported issue (“Column template is not working properly”) as a bug. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product. Thanks for your response!
I would also like to say that I have noticed that a lot of times when I update the Syncfusion nuget packages I find many bugs in different components. And those bugs did not show up on previous versions and worked fine.
So I would like to ask how often do you suggest to make an update on the Syncfusion nuget.
Do you think that it is better to update only the main release?
Are the main releases tested more?
I am asking this because trying to fix or to reproduce these bugs takes a lot of time.
Waiting for your suggestions.
Thanks!
Amanda,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We can understand your problem.
Query#:- Do you think that it is better to update only the main release?
In Syncfusion, during main release, we have included the breaking changes and the new features. Meanwhile in weekly NuGet release, we fix only the customer reported bugs which will be rolled out on weekly basis.
Query#:- Are the main releases tested more?
Yes, we do more intense testing for main releases. Also, we do test for patch releases too. In some rare scenarios, the breaking causes and now we are working on completly automating our components to deliver the flawless product for the customers.
We will ensure the reported issue was fixed before we provide patch to the customers.
