SfNumeric control when used in iOS should be set with a numeric keyboard

Hi,

Thanks for this control and we were eagerly waiting to include in our migrated app.

We found an issue though, when using iOS only with the SFNumericEntry the keypad should be numeric and not show any letters and the "Done" should appear on the keyboard so that a user can dismiss the keyboard.

See below pics of iOS and android - android is fine but iOS again needs changes to be applied .

Grateful for your prompt response.

Hi Team,

We could not replicate the reported issue that "SfNumericEntry control when used in iOS is not set with a numeric keyboard." Also, the keyboard will disappear when we press the return key on our side. We have attached a sample and output video for your reference. To help us better understand the root cause and assist with resolving the problem, please provide more detailed information about the iOS device model name and version where our control was used. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Kindly review the attached sample and apply any required modifications to reproduce the problem. Afterward, kindly forward the sample to us, as it would enable us to conduct a more thorough investigation of the issue.

Prithis I.

Hi I accept your resolution but its not ideal, I was expecting to see only the numeric keypad like you do in the same control in xamarin  see pic below - When using the SFNumericTextBox you get this keypad not the one with letters etc.. the numeric one.

Is there any plan to make it behave like the one in Xamarin?

Hi Team,

At present, "The Numbers and Punctuation keyboard in iOS" is the actual behavior of the SfNumericEntry control due to the absence of a negative sign and dot symbol in the Frameworks numeric keyboard for the iOS platform. We have created a new feature request for the required expectation "Numeric Keyboard with negative and return keys in the iOS". Please find below a link for tracking the status of the feature's implementation.

Feedback link:

Enhance the SfNumericEntry control keyboard to contain only numeric entries on the iOS platform in .NET MAUI | Feedback Portal (syncfusion.com)

Please cast your vote to make it count. We will prioritize the features in every release based on the demands, and we do not have an immediate plan to implement this feature since we have committed to already planned work. So, this feature will be available in any of our upcoming releases

If you have any more specifications or suggestions for the feature request, you can add them as a comment in the portal. We will share the release details in the feedback itself.

Prithis I.
