Hi, I'm using SfDateTimeEdit control to go to dates before 1753, I am able to go, however, the days don't match the date properly. The reason for this I understand is because of the switch from Julian calendar to Gregorian calendar in Sept 1752. It looks like syncfusion is not accommodating this change properly. This is causing the days to not match with the date.
See here: Calendar Reform in England, 1752 (adsb.co.uk) and here: Julian to Gregorian Calendar: How We Lost 10 Days (timeanddate.com)
The month of September should only have two and half weeks. See here: Year 1752 Calendar – United Kingdom (timeanddate.com)
If this is done then the day and date should match.
Thanks.
Hi HP,
There are
different calendar systems associated with diverse cultures. In our
SfDateTimeEdit control, we have followed the same method used in DateTime for
handling dates. The day value displayed in the SfDateTimePicker for the date
13th September 2023 is accurate. Please refer to the attached images for visual
confirmation. The image demonstrates that the day of the week for 13th
September 2023 matches the displayed day value (Wednesday) in the
SfDateTimePicker.
Additionally, it can be observed that 10th September 2023 is
Sunday, which is the same as the day displayed in the SfDateTimeEdit control.
If you wish to limit selectable dates, we recommend utilizing the MinDate
property of the SfDateTimeEdit control.

Hi, the correct layout for Sept 1752 is:
Year 1752 Calendar – United Kingdom (timeanddate.com)
Thus, any dates prior to this will be affected if this switch is not done correctly.
Regards.

Thanks for the response.
As a feature request can you please add support for this, as the Gregorian calendar was only adopted from the year 1582 onwards, in different countries at different times. So prior to this it was the Julian calendar, there was no Gregorian date, so in a way it will also be technically incorrect to give a Gregorian date before this point.
Maybe you can give multiple calendar options:
- only Gregorian
- Gregorian & Julian (with an option to set the switch date, default: Sept 1752 - UK/USA switch date)
- only Julian calendar
- hijri calendar
Thanks
