Changing ReadOnly to true pops up the soft keyboard for while which is annoying

Hello,

In my app I switch between read only mode using the ReadOnly property.

1) When the rich text editor has a focus (especially tap on the text editor and set the focus) .

2) Next press the back button so that the soft keyboard closes.

3) Then click on a button that programmatically sets ReadOnly=true. This will popup the soft keyboard for a second and it will close. This is very annoying to the user.

You may not see it first time.. but just play around between text editor's focus and toggling ReadOnly to false and true. When you toggle using the button ensure that the soft keyboard is not visible by tapping the back button on the phone.

Please check and fix.

We were unable to reproduce the reported issue on our end. Please find the sample in the below attachment, which we have created to reproduce the issue. 

Kindly share the following details to analyze more on this issue and assist you with the better solution     

1. Simple sample/ modify the above sample to reproduce the issue. 
2. Replication procedure/Video to reproduce the issue.
3. Xamarin Forms version.
4. SfRichTextEditor version.
5. Deployment device specification.

It happens when you set some text in the rich text box just before changing the read only flag.

Make sure you check on real android device and not the emulator.

Steps are.

1. Type something in the rich text box
2. Press back button so that keyboard closes
3. Now tap on the toggle button so that the below code runs
4. The keyboard pops up which is not expected.

We have confirmed that the issue with "The soft keyboard popup for a second when sets read only as true in android Platform". is a defect and have logged a defect report for this issue. The fix for the issue will be include in our upcoming weekly NuGet published under nuget.org and it is expected to be available on 17^th May 2023.
