Designer not showing preview in VS2022

Hi,


I am working with the latest preview release of VS2022.

When I open a view with the main element being a syncfusion control (e.g. ribbonwindow), then I do not get a preview the ribbon layout anymore, but I get to see my xaml with a code navigation pane on the side instead.

Any idea how I can see the preview of the Ribbon with all of its menu's and buttings in the designer again?

Hi NM van Strien,

We are having difficulty identifying the specific issue you are experiencing.

Could you please share the following information

  • Could you please confirm if the issue is limited to the ShellView.XAML file or if it also occurs in other XAML files.
  • And please check if there is a tab to switch at the bottom left corner.

This information would help us provide a prompt solution.

It could be that the issue is Visual Studio related, and not related to the syncfusion control. However, this remains to be seen.


A workaround is available, but the source of the issue is yet to be discovered.

This seems to be an issue in Visual Studio. We can wait until we get further information from the same thread.

It was posted today that a fix will be included in Visual Studio 2022 some time soon.

The issue is fixed in Visual Studio 17.7.0 Preview 2.0, which is available for download.
