Spreadsheet Hide/Unhide column bug when merged cells exist

Using spreadsheets that have horizontally merged cells, causes column hide/unhide to give unexpected results.

Consider this example, with A1:F1, A2:B2, and C2:F2 as three merged cells..

As expected, hiding column B gives...

But unhiding column B, gives...

After resetting to the initial state, hiding column C gives...  

notice the text "RIGHT" is not visible like it would be in Excel.

We have confirmed the issue as " Hide/UnHide merge applied columns shows wrong results for borders and text" and logged a bug report and it will be available in our upcoming April-19, 2023 patch release. You can track the status of the issue via the feedback link below.

The weekly patch release scheduled has been called off due to the 2023 Volume 1 SP release, which is planned for the upcoming week.
