Hi Logan,
The trial version message occurs in the following cases.
Case1:
You are
using the license manager to validate keys. However, it only validates unlock
keys, not license keys. Therefore, we suspect that you may be using the unlock
key instead of the license key in your application. Please ensure that you have
registered the valid license key in your project.
License
keys are version and platform-specific. So, please ensure that all the referenced
Syncfusion assemblies\NuGet packages are on the same version as license
key’s version.
To know
the difference between unlock key and license key refer the following KB.
https://www.syncfusion.com/kb/8950/difference-between-the-unlock-key-and-licensing-key
We have
introduced a new licensing system starting with version 16.2.0.x release of
Essential Studio. These modifications apply to all evaluators and only to paid
customers who use NuGet packages from nuget.org.

Case2:
Could you please share us the below
details to check this further from our end?
- Please share the Visual studio version and .NET Framework of your application.
- Whether the license message occurring while opening the designer
page after debugging or it is occurring even if other cs/vb files opened
after debugging?
- Please share
the license key registered in your application.
We had a license pop-up issue with the .NET 7.0 framework while using the
designer mode in VS 2022. We have resolved that, and the fix was available in v20.4.0.48.
Please
update to the latest Syncfusion.licensing nuget
and the dependent nuget packages to v20.4.0.48 or later.
Case3:
If the registered license key does not work in the
Applicationdesigner.vb file, please remove it and register the license key in
the Program.VB file.
Please inform us if this solution works for you.
Regards,
Jeyaseelan M
