Issues editing tables

Hi,

We have a number of issues with the richtext editor with HTML tables. These are all replicable the online demo.

1 - After dragging last column smaller you can no longer change the width and height of any columns or rows, the cursor doesn't even show, the page has to be refreshed for it to work again. The same happens when using the handle in the bottom right corner as well.

2 - When trying to resize columns when there is a merge cell, the columns are unable to resize it starts moving and then stops.

3 - Delete row with merged cell:

If the R1C1 is selected and row is deleted, it removes the column for the next row and the column data is offset

If R2C1 is selected and the row is deleted there's no issue.

4 - Multiple column selecting - this often bugs out and while it shows the columns selected as below clicking the colour button does nothing. We can see when this is going to happen as there is no flashing cursor in the last cell after dragging the selection. Each cell then has to be coloured individually, else the page needs to be refreshed for it to start working again.

Hi,

I see 3 bug reports have been created this ticket. My clients are having issues now with this control on their site causing chaos with these issues, and waiting for a May volume release is too far away. 

 

Can we not get a hot fix for this?

Regarding your fourth query, we have checked at our end, but we were not able to replicate it. Please see the attached video and sample for your reference.

 

Could you provide us with more information on how to replicate it? It would be helpful if you could share the replication procedure and a video showing the issue.

We have included the fix for the issue "The table row delete (Delete Row) is not working properly in the Rich Text Editor" with our package version 21.1.38. So, can you please upgrade your package to the latest to resolve the issue from your end.

We are experiencing some difficulties while fixing the reported issue with queries 1 and 2, and it has caused some existing behaviors to break. However, we will include a fix for this issue at the beginning of May.

Hi,

This update has not fixed the delete row issue for merged cells. Using the latest package.

Select R1C1 and deleting row it is still removing the merged column and then indenting the columns

We have considered the reported issue "The table row delete (Delete Row) is not working properly with the merged cells in the table" as a bug from our end, and the fix for the issue will be included in our patch release scheduled for the middle of May 2023.
