RDLC report conatining sub-reports inserts extra page breaks when exporting to PDF or PowerPoint

Hi,

We are using the latest version (4.2.85) of BoldReports.AspNet.Core and BoldReports.Net.Core nuget packages in our ASP.Net Core 5 web application. We noticed that for RDLC reports containing sub-reports there are extra page breaks inserted when exporting to PDF or PowerPoint from the web viewer control. As a test we prepared the attached sample ASP.Net Core 5 web application which contains a simple main report and a sub report. The main report has a rectangle element with the "Add page break at start" attribute set. When exporting to PDF you will see that there are a total of 9 pages in the exported pdf instead of 3. We followed your instructions at https://help.boldreports.com/report-viewer-sdk/aspnet-core-reporting/report-viewer/subreport/. Please assist in helping us resolve this issue?

Hi Hashen,

Thanks for contacting Bold Reports support.

In the report designer preview, you get a report of what you designed in the designer in the same size. In PDF export, the paper size will vary, and margin values are applied for the PDF export. So, the generated PDF file does not look the same as the one displayed in the report designer. For your requirement, You can change the print paper size and margin values in the report designer itself. We have modified the attached sample report and shared for your reference. Please refer the below documentation and snap for this.
