Heatmap loading freezes the page

Hello,

I am using the Heatmap component at my Blazor project and I am updating its datasource dynamically.

My problem is that the page where the Heatmap is shown freezes while the Heatmap is loading and every action that the user does is postponed until the Heatmap is created

So I would like to ask how can the loading of the Heatmap can be implemented on another Thread in order for the page to be functional while the loading happens

Or can you suggest something else to avoid the page freeze?

Hi Amanda,

We are able to reproduce the reported scenario in the Blazor HeatMap component. In the Blazor application, we cannot render components in the razor page in a new thread. However, we have considered to improve the initial rendering of the HeatMap component to allow other components to render in the Blazor application. This improvement will be included in our Volume 1 main release 2023.  Meanwhile, please find the feedback link below to keep track of this feature.

Hi Amanda,

When we tried to improve the freezing state of the HeatMap component to load other components, we worked on to reduce the performance slowness in the HeatMap component. The provided sample renders the HeatMap component of version 20.1.61 in 25 - 27 seconds. After our fix, the component is now rendering in 20 – 22 seconds. The fix is included in our Essential Studio 2023 Volume 1 Main Release v21.1.35 which is rolled out and is available for download under the following link.

However, we are working further to improve the performance of the HeatMap component. We will update you once the fix is available.

We have improved the rendering performance of the HeatMap component further. Now the component renders in 6 – 8 seconds. The fix is included in our Essential Studio 2023 Volume 1 Service pack release V21.2.3 which is rolled out and is available for download under the following link.
