Is it possible to run the SfFileManager in Maui Blazor hybrid app? All the example seem to be for Blazor ASP.NET implementations.
Hi Mike,
Greetings from Syncfusion support.
Yes, it is possible to use the SfFileManager component in the Maui Blazor application. To achieve your requirement, you just need to follow the steps mentioned in the documentation that we've provided below.
Documentation: https://blazor.syncfusion.com/documentation/getting-started/maui-blazor-app
We've also provided additional resources to assist you in implementing the SfFileManager component and a document that contains the available service providers in the FileManager for your reference.
Getting started with the SfFileManager component: https://blazor.syncfusion.com/documentation/file-manager/getting-started
Available File service providers: https://blazor.syncfusion.com/documentation/file-manager/file-system-provider
I can add the component, but all of the examples and documentation for the for the controller and file service providers assume a Blazor server environment. How do you port these to a MAUI Hybrid serverless application?
Hi Mike,
We have reviewed your request and understand that you are looking to access the local file system of a mobile device using our component. Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that this feature is not currently supported in our File Manager component.
However, we would be happy to assist you with any other queries or requirements you may have with our component. Please revert back to us if you have any other concerns or questions.
Regards,
Suresh.
More specifically, I want to use the control in a desktop application based on Maui Hybrid implementation of Blazor. Is that possible? Windows and MacOS…
Mike, As explained earlier, we have support for integrating our Blazor FileManager component in a MAUI app with a Blazor server environment, but currently, we do not have the feasibility to fulfill your requirement.
Please let us know if you have any other concerns.
Regards,
Prasanth Madhaiyan.
