Copy text from PDF -> last character missing

Hi,

I am using PdfViewer with Pdfium. 

When I try to copy and text from the attached PDF the last character is missing.

E.g. mark and copy the text RG-202101-1022 in PdfViewer and paste it in Notpad, you will see that only 'RG-202101-102' with be pasted. Switching to SPDF will make it work.

Is that a bug?

We are unable to select the text in the pdf document you shared with us in the current PdfViewer version, and we will validate this issue, but you have updated that you are able to select the text in the PdfViewer while copying you have encountered the issue.

Also, please share the following information so that we can investigate further and provide you with a better solution.

Marco, In the PDF document that you have shared with us, the reported issue can be reproduced on our end when we use Pdfium for rendering and SfPdf for text extraction. We will validate this issue and update you.

Marco, on analyzed further, the issue occurs in a specific document due to pdfium, we would like to report this behavior in PDFium forum to try getting any information or solution for this, by sharing this PDF document in the public PDFium group.   

 

So kindly confirm us if this document does not contain any confidential information and we can proceed on this.

I had a look in the issue you reported on the PDFIUM forum. But the issue you reported there, is not the same. 

- How can I solve the issue missing last character when copying text?  (Please try on attached document)

- Marking text is not possible with some documents. (Please try on attached document)

any news regarding this. We are running into serious trouble using sfPDF. We need to switch to PDFium!

Marco, the Pdfium is an open-source project and so we cannot escalate the bugs reported to them. But we have added a remainder to them about this issue and we will update you once we receive any updates from them.
