Tooltip for Dropdown list elements in Grid batch edit

Hi,

I am using Grid with batch edit and one of the column uses a dropdown list with dynamic values. Sometimes the values in the list could get longer than the column width and are not completely readable in the dropdown. Is there a way to add tool tip to the dropdown so that person could see the full content of the list item upon hovering? Similar to clipMode: 'EllipsisWithTooltip' option at the grid level. I tried using tooltip inside field{} but didn't work.
