Adding custom input when filter has no match

When the user's filter query has no match, is there a way to allow adding the exact filter text as a new option in the list?  Ideally we'd like the "No results" template to display a button "add custom item" When clicked, grab the filter text, add to the list of options and select it (or add to list of already selected items).

We have validated your requirement in the Dropdown Tree component. Currently, we don’t have support to add a new item in the Dropdown Tree while searching if it is not available in the tree. However, this exact feature is available in our EJ1 AutoComplete control. Please check the details at the below link.
