Annotation gets unselected when mouse leaves document

Question

I'm using pdf viewer version 20.2.49 in React and after selecting an annotation, the annotation get's unselected if my mouse moves outside of the document, so if it hits any of the gray around the actual pdf. Is there a configuration that I can set so that this doesn't happen or something else that I can do so that the annotation doesn't get unselected unless I've click a new one or clicked the document itself.

were able to reproduce the reported issue  “Annotation unselect when
the mouse moves out of the document” and suspect this to be a defect. We
will analyze further on this and update you with more details on September 27,

Hi Juliet,We have already fixed a similar issue recently. The fix
for the issue will be included in our upcoming Volume 3 release on September
29, 2022. Kindly upgrade to the volume release and let us know if this resolves
