SubContextMenu not working as supposed in Chrome 105.0.5195.102 (64-bits)

ASP.NET webforms - JS1 version 19.4.0.38.

Dear,

Our SubContextMenu stopped working after an overnight update of Chrome to version 105.0.5195.102.

The ContextMenu works, but the SubContextMenu items are not rendered correctly and are not working as supposed.

You can test it by taking the Basic Grid sample and adding a Menu With Contextmenu to recreate the issue. It works in Chrome  104.0.5112.102 (Official Build) (64-bit) and no longer in Chrome 105.0.5195.102 or in the latest Microsoft Edge version.




What can be done?

I think this is the same issue I am now seeing with the MENU control. I have reported a bug.

Hi Peter/Gareth,


We are able to replicate the problem in latest chrome version. As you have mentioned, We have already considered the reported issue in the EJ1 Menu control as a bug at our end. The fix for this issue will be included in our weekly patch release on September 13, 2022. Please track the below link.

Thanks for the feedback. 

Just to be sure, my use case is a ContextMenu and SubContextMenu in a Grid control. So please make sure this also gets patched toghether with the normal navigation Menu control.

The menu drop-down appears not to work with Microsoft Edge also ?!

Yes, this issue is also reproduced on the latest Microsoft Edge. As promised, this bug fix will be included in our weekly patch release on September 13, 2022. Until then we value your patience.

We are glad to announce that our patch release (V20.2.49) has been rolled out successfully. The issue with “EJ1 Menu control does not work in latest chrome update Version 105.0.5195.54 and edge update” has been resolved in this release. To access this fix, we suggest you update the package to 20.2.49.
