Validation message disappears if another field's name contains the failed field's name and its value is not leading to error
Hi,
When the grid data source model includes a field that contain other field name, validation tooltips are not displayed (display for a split second and disappear, like a blink) properly when certain conditions are met.
For example assume that model has a Customer field and a CustomerName field.
- If Customer field is required but CustomerName is not required, leaving Customer field empty while editing a record will trigger this error.
- If both them are required and both of them are left empty, validation tooltips are displayed properly. But if Customer is empty and CustomerName is filled, then again this error occurs.
There is a sample application attached.

We have confirmed this as an issue and logged the defect report “Validation message disappears if another field's name contains the failed field's name” for the same. Thank you for taking time to report this issue and helping us to improve our product. message disappears if another field's name contains the failed field's name” in our mentioned patch release as promised. We have planned to include this in our upcoming patch release which is expected to be rolled out by 16th Nov 2022.
