I try to create a lookup on column OrganisaztionID by
replacing the current view with Combobox. The Combobox should link to the Organisation
list. But the concept does not work.

We have analyzed your query and found that combo box was rendered in text and value behavior, the same behavior can be achieved in grid using by ForeignKeyColumn feature of Grid.
