Requirement : How to read an AutoCAD DWG/DXF into the Winforms Diagram Control.
We don’t have support to read and convert an AutoCAD DWG/DXF
file in SfDiagram. The
structure of SfDiagram's elements is quite different from what AutoCAD offers
in the DWG/DXF formats, which is why
files in these formats cannot be imported.
Uses of DXF/DWG Format:
The .dwg is the native file format for AutoCAD data
files that contain all of the pieces of information a user enters, from designs
and geometric data to maps, photos and beyond.
The DXF is ASCII text, and
therefore much more bloated in size. In essence, the DXF file is not a
compressed (in a non-technical sense) file format, while the DWG offers objects
to be defined using the native AutoCAD scheme.
As we don’t have support for those formats.
