Comments section sometimes takes two clicks to open it up

Using your online demo,

  1. Show the annotation toolbar
  2. Click to show the Comments section on the right
  3. Close the annotation toolbar using the X
  4. Show the annotation toolbar
  5. Click to show the Comments section on the right
Result => nothing happens, you need to click again to show the Comments section

We were able to reproduce the issue “Comments section sometimes takes two clicks to open it up”. We will validate it and update further details on June 3, 2022.

We have validated the issue “Comment panel is not visible on single click of comment tool at the toolbar” and logged it as a defect. The fix for the issue will be available in our upcoming weekly NuGet release on June 22, 2022. You can track the status of the issue through the following link.

In v20.2.0.39, the following causes the same issue:

  1. Show the annotation toolbar
  2. Double click on a shape annotation.  The Comments section on the right is shown
  3. Click to the toolbar icon to hide the Comments section on the right
Result => nothing happens

      4. Click the toolbar icon again and the Comments section is closed.

We were able to reproduce the reported issue  “Click to the toolbar icon to hide the Comments section on the right click nothing happens” and suspect this to be a defect. We will analyze further on this and update you with more details on July 25, 2022.

We have confirmed that the reported issue “Unable to close the comment panel opened with double-click” is a defect and logged the defect reported for the same. We have fixed the reported issue and the fix for the reported issue was included in our latest weekly release v20.2.44. Kindly upgrade to that version to get the issue resolved.
