File Versions with S3

We are planning on using the File manager with AWS S3 and hoping to use the bucket versioning option.

Does the file manager offers options to view/list versions of a file which is on S3?

Do you have examples or suggested approaches?

Currently, we are validating your requirement  "AWS S3 with the bucket versioning option" for the File Manager component. We need some time to analyze more regarding the feasibility to achieve this. We will update the further validation details within four business days on 16th May 2022.

Thanks for your patience.


We have validated the File Manager component behavior after enabling bucket versioning in the Amazon File Service provider by creating a testing server. All the file operations, such as read, download, upload, rename, delete, etc., are working properly. You will be able to use File Manager with the Amazon File Service provider with bucket versioning. Please check the sample and service provider. For security concerns, we have removed the credentials. So, kindly add your AWS credentials before running the sample.
