OnSend will not be called when folder expand (load)

Hi,

I wanted to solve https://www.syncfusion.com/feedback/32624/provide-support-to-customize-the-httphandler-in-blazor-file-manager

I tried to set a fixed HttpClient per reflection to  SFFileManagerHttpClient on OnSend.

1st call works, but any other call that loads data from the controller - OnSend will not be called and a different HttpClient is used.

Hi Wolfgang,

Greetings from Syncfusion support.

We have considered the above shared feature as an uncertain feature. It will be included in all of our upcoming releases. But we do not have any immediate plans to implement this feature. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features. Usually, Syncfusion will plan and implement the features based on feature rank, customer requested count, and volume wish-list. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. You can track the status of feature implementation through the portal link.

However, we would like to get some additional information from your end regarding the issue you are facing with File Manager. Whether you are trying to pass the entire HttpClient details in the OnSend event HttpClientInstance Please share with us your tried-out code snippet with Syncfusion package details, which would help us assist you promptly.

Regards,

Indhumathy L

My configuration:

  • Visual Studio 2022 - 17.1.6
  • Synfusion 220.1.0.47

I'm one step further...

I used your template - Blazor Server, Windows Auth, File Manager only - all features

And I modified FilemanagerFeature.razor - see attachment

In most cases the calls work (but only a few times) - but then there are ajax calls that don't trigger OnSend.

When the component gets an error, the craziness begins.

There might be a problem with the TreeView Node Expand???

If OnSend is always called, I think the problem is solved (horribly hacked).

Maybe it's a blazor issue or a js interop thing...

Maybe your developers could debug why in some cases OnSend is not called (I have little experience in debugging Blazor - especially not without source code..)

Regards, Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

We were able to reproduce the reported issue on our end. We were unable to trigger the OnSend event while expanding folders in the navigation pane for the first level nodes. But for the child nodes, we were able to trigger the OnSend event. We were confused whether this is the same issue you have been facing at your end or not. Kindly confirm the issue to further proceed with this validation. If we misunderstood, please share with us the exact steps you have followed to reproduce the issue at our end, which would help us with further validation.
