When "showDropArea" is first being set to false, the drop area becomes unusable when afterwards setting it to true

Steps to reproduce:


  1. Create grid, set showDropArea first to "false".
  2. Set it later to "true" via console.
  3. Drag and drop doesnt work on the grid.

I tested it the other way around and when it is per default on true, it works.

Not sure if this is a bug, but we need this to work properly.

We have confirmed the reported scenario as a bug our side and logged a defect report for the same as “Column dragging is not working when dynamically enable the Group drop area”. At
Syncfusion, we are committed to fixing all validated defects (subject to technological feasibility and Product Development Life Cycle ) and will include the defect fix in our weekly patch release scheduled to be rolled out by 11th, May 2022. We appreciate your patience until then.

We are glad to announce that our Essential Javascript2 patch release (v20.1.56) has been rolled out successfully and in that release, we have added the fix of “Column dragging is not working when dynamically enable the Group drop area” issue. So, please update your Syncfusion packages to the current version and use the latest style script to get this.
