Improper search icon behavior

Question

Hello, I'm using SF almost latest version 20.1.0.47 with VS2022

I'm following the example of putting the search icon within the auto-complete:

However the results are not practical because the search icon still spins around like the normal drop down icon.

Ideally the search icon should not spin like that.

Any ideas how to apply the search icon and keep it steady?
