Hi,
This is question regarding blazor syncfusion licensing - please ignore the selected "Control".
Your doc explains how to register the license key
https://blazor.syncfusion.com/documentation/licensing/license-key-registration
what happens at license expiration?
I have to redeploy the code with a new key ? A better way ?
Many thanks,
Yi
Hi Yi Han,
Q1) what happens at license expiration?
A1) We have checked your account and you are having “Essential Studio Enterprise License”. So, the generated licence key from your account is valid for the selected version and product for the life time; there is no online system to deactivate it, and it will not expire.
The generated license key is just version and product specific
Q2) I have to redeploy the code with a new key ? A better way ?
A2) If you are upgrading your Syncfusion packages to next major volume release version, then you need to generate and update the new license key for your project and redeploy it. As we stated earlier, the license key version should be the same as the other referred assemblies.
Find below the knowledge base article
to know about which version license key should use in application.

Hi,
Thanks you for reply.
To be perfectly sure that I understand the policy. Two additional questions please:
1/ The definition of "Volume Release"
let's take A.B.C.D for example
A version is considered as "major volume release" when A or B evolves? Thee upgrade to a new one requires new license key?
The evolution of C and D is considered as in the same volume release ? The upgrade to a new one DOES NOT require new license key?
2/ You mentioned that my " Essential Studio Enterprise License " won't expire.
Then What does this expiration date means?
Many thanks.
Yi
Hi Yi,
Find below the response to your queries.
Q1) The definition of "Volume Release"
let's take A.B.C.D for example

A1) Yes. Syncfusion
license keys are version and product-specific. So, you need to update the license key in your project for
every major volume
release
upgrade only. Also, Syncfusion will have only four major
releases (Volume releases) in a year. So, you might need to change the
license key four times a year.
Upgrading to Volume
release
If you are using the application with
Syncfusion version 19.3.0.* and
trying to upgrade
to our next volume release version
19.4.0.*,
you
should generate the license key
for v19.4.0.* and update
the key in your application.
For example, if you are using v19.3.0.43 and
trying to upgrade to the next volume release v19.4.0.*
you need to regenerate the licensing key for v19.4.0.*
from our website and update the license key in
your application.
Upgrading to Service
Pack\NuGet release
Our Volume release license key (19.3.0.*) can be applied to its service pack\nuget
releases.
If you are using the Syncfusion version 19.3.0.* and
trying to upgrade
to its service pack\nuget release in the same volume release, there
is no need to regenerate the license key again.
For example, if you are using v19.3.0.43 and
trying to upgrade to its service pack\nuget release in the same volume release v19.3.0.46 or v19.3.0.47
there is
no need to regenerate and apply the
license key again for service pack\nuget releases.
Refer to the below KB article to know which version license key should use
in the application,

Q2) You mentioned that my " Essential Studio Enterprise License " won't expire.
Then What does this expiration date means?
A2) As we stated earlier, generated license key from your account is valid for the selected version and product for the lifetime and will not expire.
We have mentioned the expiration date for your “Essential Studio Enterprise License”. If your license expired, you can’t access our upcoming release versions and you will not get support from us after the expiry date until your license is renewed.
Let us know if any concerns.
