PDF preview fuzzy

https://stackblitz.com/edit/angular-u5qyfq?file=app.component.ts

It is so fuzzy When I preview pdf files at size 100% by Google Chrome 100.0.4896.127 Version, however, it works well if previous versions.

It is OK if preview at size 100% by Google Chrome 98.0.4758.82(Official Build)(64-bit)

Hi techlandandyzhang,

We were unable to replicate the fuzzy appearance of PDF text on our end. Please refer to the below screenshots.

Google Chrome 100.0.4896.127 version:

Google Chrome 98.0.4758.82 version:

Could you please try loading different files? If you are facing the same issue, try the following suggestion. Type ClearType in the search box on your Windows machine, open Adjust ClearType Text and ensure if the Turn on Clear Type check box is enabled.

Regards,

Shamini

For this issue, I have tested already and found that it was fixed at the next version, e.g. Dev version

However, it encounters another problem more critical, when I print the file by PDFView, it is so fuzzy; as a matter of fact, if I download it to local and then print, it is very clear.

Hi techlandandyzhang,

We were unable to reproduce the fuzzy issue on printing with PDF Viewer. Please refer to the below screenshot.

We will also check by printing with a printer and get back to you on April 25, 2022. Meanwhile, kindly share the below details since there could be differences among printers and the printer settings.

  • Confirm if you are getting the fuzzy appearance only when printed on a paper or does it looks fuzzy in the print preview on the screen itself?
  • Specify the printer you are using.
  • Specify the printer settings in both PDF Viewer and Adobe or Chrome (while printing the downloaded file).

Shamini
