Ribbon capturing keyboard input

I have several controls that I host in the Syncfusion Ribbon for search functionality. This worked perfectly up through version 18.1460.0.2. However, as of version 20.1.0.47 (current version), keyboard events no longer make it to the input TextBox in my Ribbon-hosted controls, so the user is unable to enter search criteria. Is this a bug?

I just noticed that the TileViewControl has the same issue; user keyboard input is not making it to any input controls hosted inside a TileViewItem.

Hi Chuck,

We are unable to reproduce the issue at our end; however, we've created a sample based on your specification. We can interact with the textbox inside the Ribbon control.


If we misunderstood the query, please provide more details about the requirement, or modify our sample and revert to us with a reproducible issue or video. So, it will be helpful to prompt the solution on further.

I updated to version 20.1.0.55 and the issue is no longer present.
